Just You and I by Clare N.

Heavy waves crash on the shore,
Palm tree’s shadow falls across the damp sand
Swirls and twirls decorate the ocean floor
The salty taste is never bland

The sea and sky blend together
In one shade of baby blue
Sand jumps across the ground, as light as a feather.

Birds dip and dive
Surveying their mighty palace, wet and deep
Perfect clouds sprayed in the sky
How peaceful with just you and I.

After i read this poem it put me in a really peaceful , hsppy mood. It makes me think of the beach and how peaceful the beach is. I like when she says "Heavy waves crash on the shore". It puts a picture in my mind of the waves crashing on the shore making which is relaxing. I really enjoyed this poem and it reminded me of summer which i love.

After reading the poem i envisioned a beach covered with a cloudy sky, and i liked the scene of the beach that was described. This poem was very detailed and showed a great picture in my mind, and the rhyming worked very well and flowed. I felt warm and happy at the end of the poem because of how the beach can make you feel.

Great poem Clare! I really like your poem. It had a very peaceful mood to it. The imagery was amazing. I could see everything you were describing. You included a lot of details which made it that more enticing to read. I was sort of relaxed after reading it. You captured the scene of a beautiful, peaceful beach perfectly. It also had a very smooth flow. Good job!
